FAQ

What is the smallest defect size that can be seen in the CT data scanned by the FXO-CT2000 device?

Generally speaking, the minimum defect size that can be identified is greater than the spatial resolution value. According to practical experience, it is basically 2 times or even more than 3 times the pixel size to identify. Since the individual pixel size of the data and the spatial resolution size are equal, if the customer wants to see a sample with a minimum defect of 100 microns, we must control the spatial resolution (accuracy) between 1-50 microns when we perform a CT scan, the higher the resolution, the more visible and the clearer the defect.

FXO-CT2000 Device What is the maximum accuracy (spatial resolution) of the device?

Because the focus size of the 225kv micron tube is 5 microns, the JIMA card can only see 5 microns at present, so the theoretical maximum accuracy is to 5 microns.

What is the maximum sample size that the FXO-CT2000 device can scan?

520*650mm

What is the weight limit of samples that the FXO-CT2000 device can scan?

20KG

What is the structure of industrial CT equipment?

It consists of a radiation source, a mechanical scanning system, a detector system, a computer system, shielding facilities, etc.

What is the working principle of industrial CT equipment?

During the inspection process, the ray tube emits x-rays, and the sample on the stage rotates at a certain angle. The detector receives the attenuated x-ray signal and converts it into an electrical signal. The data acquisition system then converts the electrical signal into a digital signal. Finally, the digital signal is processed and calculated by the computer system to generate a CT internal image of the inspected object.

What is the difference between DR and CT?

DR is a plane image generated by a single exposure. The image compresses all information on the same layer, which makes individual defects invisible due to angle problems or front-to-back superposition, and has low resolution. CT, on the other hand, is a three-dimensional image generated by software through multiple exposures at multiple angles. You can see sections in any direction and all the information you need.

What is the penetration power of X-rays?

The penetration depth of X-rays is related to the material density and mass absorption coefficient of the sample. Theoretically, a 225kv reflective target ray tube can penetrate 5cm of steel and 20cm of aluminum.
